Simply beautiful
Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 11:31PM As I was driving for an hour and half to photograph the Rushing family I couldn't wait to get there. Why you might ask? Because I felt like I was home when I got there. I felt love, peace, comfort, and gratitude. I have a new sense of gratitude of the church because it's not all around me now and I can't see the temple basically everyday or just pass it. It takes 90 minutes to get there. Unfortunately Justin wasn't able to come with me but I hope to go back soon together. We didn't go to the temple as often as we should when it was only 15 minutes away at one time. I wish I wouldn't have taken it for granted.

I bought the soundtrack to "My Sister's Keeper" before moving and one day while driving to work this song came on and I immediately had tears running down my face. I was going to a place that wouldn't feel like home, not knowing anyone, and not having a job. There were a lot of feelings going on at once: happy, stressed, sad, excited, worried, alone, supported, and loved.
Today in church this song came to my head for some reason and I knew I wanted to put this quote on one of the temple pictures. It has 2 meanings for me:
1. Being at the temple felt like home because I belonged to a beautiful organization and it's something I went to back home with family.
2. I believe that the feeling that is felt inside and the beauty that is inside is like our home in heaven which we will return to some day.

Howdy Partner!
Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 5:38PM Happy Halloween! Ruca was sportin' her halloween costume that her Grandma Julie sent her. It's so funny and cute!

And here's my perfect pumpkin. I think I took longer to pick out a pumpkin than any of the kids at the pumpkin patch. But to me a perfect pumpkin isn't one that is all orange and no bumps on it. A thought came to me when I was searching how at such a young age kids already know or have been taught that perfect is something (in my eyes) that has no character. A plain orange round smooth pumpkin is boring. What makes a pumpkin (person) perfect are imperfections.

the reason
Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 8:57PM for my lack of posts is because my computer is being so slow!!! It took me 30 minutes to edit one photo! Needless to say it's taking me forever to get through my lists of edits and photos to post! Be patient with me and I'll post some pictures as soon as I can. Thank you!
